Dan Hofer, a Principal Business Intelligence Consultant with AbellaTech, was chosen to provide a complete life cycle data warehouse and information delivery development effort. Our client has been growing through acquisition and needed to consolidate sales data across a variety of ERP systems that had been implemented over the years (4 total).
Dan designed and executed the project from end to end. Oracle, SQL Server, Access, and flat file data sources were transformed through Informatica and populated an Oracle based data warehouse. The data warehouse was designed using Kimball methods and modeled in Microsoft Visio. The data warehouse was modeled with Cognos Framework Manager and reports were created using Cognos 8.4.
This project was completed on time and on budget. We love successful projects - it's what keeps our customers coming back!

AbellaTech's client, a Bermuda based insurance company servicing the oil production industry, engaged us to develop claim loss prediction programs. Working with the company's chief actuary, AbellaTech developed a model to run millions of simulations of events based on the North Atlantic Named Weather System to predict claim losses. This is the second engagement with this client in 12 months. The project completed smoothly - we look forward to future projects (who wouldn't when the client is located in Bermuda!).
